A “Short” Note from Paul – Hurricane Harvey Relief

Paul’s Note

Words can hardly express what our community and the communities near us have experienced over the past week.  The road to recovery from Hurricane Harvey will be long and arduous for so many, and we here at inSPIRE Rock consider ourselves among the fortunate ones who have experienced very little damage.  I’ve always known that the inSPIRE Rock Community was special, and I couldn’t be more proud of how you have all rallied together to support each other, your friends and family, and your communities at large.  Over several days, we’ve been inundated with phone calls and opportunities to serve our community.  Just as prevalent as the calls FOR help have been the calls TO help.

From cooking chili and cornbread for first responders to delivering water all over Houston to participating in boat rescues down in Katy and Friendswood and even nearby, offering snacks and coffee to shelters and folks lined up and down the block to volunteer with our friends at District Roasters (who roasted up extra beans to help keep our community caffeinated).  You guys have been with us every step of the way.  It’s been an incredible experience watching our community come together to help those in need.  I’m so proud of you and all you have done to help Houston and South/South East Texas climb HIGHER!

Need help?

For those still in need, we’ve put together a spreadsheet to help make the needs of our community public.
