VIRTUAL ROPES COMP
TR & SPORT Climbing Community Comp
Join us for our first “virtual” community rope climbing competition! Competitors will have 2 weeks to project and send 40+ designated comp routes. Each competitor’s top 5 routes will determine their score.
With 4 distinct categories, there is a place for all climbers regardless of experience level.
Categories: Beginner (5.7 – 5.10a), Intermediate (5.10b – 5.11b), Advanced (5.11c+), and a separate youth category (12 and under)
Basic Rules:
Climb as often as you’d like over the 2 week period. Number of attempts do not count against you. To send (complete) the route and get a score for it you must control the starting holds and control one hand on the finish hold. You may not use any other color, hang on the rope or step on any lead anchors. Climbs must be completed from start to finish without falling or resting on the rope.
Prizes:
Top 3 males and females in each category will win prizes. We’ve partnered with Edelrid and have over 2k in prizes (ropes, backpacks, belay devices, rope bags, harnesses and more)

Download the Kaya app and set up a username and password

Step 2
Register for the comp on a web browser (not in the app)

Step 3
Log into the Kaya app to find the event. Open the lightning bolt in the bottom menu and under “my challenges” you will see all challenges that you have already paid for. You must click “Join Challenge” to finish registering.
